Anies Inaugurates Seven Schools and One PKBM in Seribu Islands

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan inaugurates the reuse of seven schools and one Community Learning Center (PKBM) in Seribu Islands after renovation.

Those are SMP Negeri 133 Pulau Pramuka, SD Negeri Pulau Panggang 03 Pagi, SD Negeri Pulau Kelapa 01 Pagi, SMP Negeri 260 Pulau Harapan, SMP Negeri 285 Pulau Untung Jawa, SMP Negeri 288 Pulau Lancang, SMK Negeri 61 Pulau Tidung, and PKBM 36 Pulau Harapan.

He hopes with better infrastructures and facilities then education quality in Jakarta, especially in Seribu Island can be also enhanced. But, character building education such as manners and moral are also important to be taught.

UNBK and USBN in Jakarta Have Gone Well

"I convey my gratitude for Education Dept. that have renovated school buildings and PKBM. Facility and infrastructure are important, but the main purpose is the teaching and learning process," he expressed after inauguration ceremony at SMK Negeri 61 Pulau Tidung, Wednesday (5/9).

He added, school should be a fun place for students to learn and grow a good personality.

"Don't teach children to be success in exam, but to be the lifelong learners," he stated.
